About

Meet Emerald

Your Breathwork Coach in Portland

I help stressed, anxious adults and children who struggle with feelings of overwhelm and disconnection. So that they can learn to manage their emotions and maintain a sense of balance in their daily lives.

I teach practices such as functional breathwork, coherent breathing, conscious connected breathwork and School Breathe and embodiment tools, to enhance emotional regulation, reduce stress and increase self-awareness.

My journey as a breathwork coach

Growing up, I wish I had known the powerful impact of breathwork. It could have transformed my life by helping me regulate my feelings, feel safe in my body, and respond to challenges and life changes with confidence and less anxiety.

Instead of constantly worrying about being productive, successful, or available for everyone else, I would have learned to slow down, listen to my body’s vital messages, and appreciate the balance between rest, work, and play.

As a breathwork coach, I help children and stressed, anxious adults learn these essential breathwork techniques, so they can integrate them into their daily lives.

I’m here to offer a supportive path to better health and well-being.

With a background in child education and development, I’ve always loved working with kids. I became a breathwork coach because I’ve seen first hand how these practices have transformed my life and the lives of my clients.

I’m passionate about sharing this gift with others so they can thrive and positively impact future generations. My vision is to be part of co-creating a world where people feel regulated, connected, honoring themselves, each other and the world around them.

What is breathwork?

Breath and change are life’s only constants.

From our very first breath to our last, breathing is an automatic process, yet we have the power to influence it.

Breathwork involves exercises and techniques that help you become more aware of your breathing.

By adjusting the rate and depth of your breath, you can manage your physiological state, which in turn affects your mind and emotions – facilitating physical, mental and emotional healing.

This makes breathwork a powerful tool for managing stress and anxiety, as it helps calm your nervous system and reduce feelings of overwhelm.

Learning breathwork as a child, equips our next generation with a toolkit to help them navigate the impact of the changes we are seeing in the world with more ease, connection and self-awareness.

What are the benefits?

Symbol Physical

Physical

Reset for your nervous system, lower blood pressure, boost circulation, and enhance your digestive efficiency, overall physical health and energy levels. Learning to breathe better also promotes a more balanced sleep cycle.

""

Emotional

Uncover and release trapped emotions, integrate past experiences and trauma, and embrace a deep sense of inner peace. Breathwork enhances self-awareness of our emotional state and improves mood by boosting attention and balancing cortisol levels. For young people, it promotes better emotional regulation, helping them respond to challenges more effectively.

""

Mental

Calm your vagus nerve, harmonize your nervous system, ease stress and anxiety, and elevate your mood and self-esteem. Mindful breathing improves focus and concentration, enhancing learning outcomes and academic performance. It also supports mental health by reducing the risk of burnout and fostering a positive environment.

""

Spiritual/Energetic

Cultivate lasting energy, explore expanded states of consciousness, and savor profound, full-bodied pleasure. Techniques can offer a deeper connection to your inner self and contribute to self-esteem. For children, regular breathing exercises create a calmer, more focused learning environment, promoting overall well-being and connectedness.
