What is Conscious Connected Breathwork?
Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB), also known as rebirthing breathwork, offers a secure and gentle path to reconnect with your breath consciously and rhythmically, without interruptions.
You are lovingly guided with music and voice and encouraged to remain in embodied consent with how deep you want to breathe. Through CCB, you discover the power to regulate your nervous system and willingly enter altered states of consciousness, similar to exploring non-ordinary realities.
How Can Conscious Connected Breathwork Help You?
As children, we aren’t typically taught how to embrace our emotions in a fully embodied way, leaving these experiences trapped within our bodies. The result? Blocked energy that manifests as physical, emotional, and mental distress, along with a sense of disconnection from both ourselves and others.
CCB serves as a transformative gateway to safely navigate and integrate your inner emotional landscapes, release pent-up tension, and access deep pleasure, all while reconnecting with your unique sense of wholeness.
The Journey with Conscious Connected Breathwork
Conscious Connected Breathing focuses on diaphragmatic breath, utilizing your entire lung capacity. It provides crucial support to your nervous system and allows your emotional and physical self to complete its natural stress response cycle.
It’s common to experience intense emotions during a breathwork session, and in this space, I offer compassion and non-judgmental support, inviting you to surrender to your experience fully.
I am trauma-informed, which means I have taken additional training in learning how to support clients experiencing trauma responses in the moment. I am not a trauma therapist or trauma coach. If you know you have experienced trauma and are currently working through it, please consult your therapist/practitioner and reach out to me to discuss your suitability for this circle.
The Benefits of Altered States of Consciousness in Breathwork
One of the most unique aspects of Conscious Connected Breathwork is its ability to help you access altered states of consciousness. These non-ordinary states allow you to experience heightened awareness, which can facilitate emotional release, spiritual insight, and deep mental clarity. In this state, the mind can bypass its usual filters and defenses, helping you to access deeply buried emotions or thoughts.
When in these altered states, many people report feelings of euphoria, profound emotional breakthroughs, or even a sense of oneness with themselves or the universe. This can be a powerful healing tool, helping you to release old patterns, confront past traumas, and discover new layers of self-awareness.
Through CCB, altered states provide you with a new perspective on life, offering clarity, self-compassion, and healing.
Preparing for a Conscious Connected Breathwork Session
Preparation is an important part of any healing practice, and CCB is no exception. Here are a few steps to take before your session to ensure you have the best experience possible:
- Set an Intention: Before your session, take a moment to reflect on what you would like to achieve or explore during the breathwork. Whether it’s emotional release, gaining clarity, or simply connecting with your body, setting an intention helps focus your practice.
- Hydrate: Drinking plenty of water before your session will help the body stay hydrated and support your physical energy throughout the breathwork practice.
- Comfortable Clothing: Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows you to breathe freely and move your body without restriction. You may want to have a blanket nearby to stay warm during your session.
- Create a Quiet Space: Find a quiet, comfortable place where you won’t be disturbed. Make sure your environment feels safe and supportive so you can fully relax into the experience.
- Mental Preparation: It’s normal to feel some nervousness or uncertainty before your first session. Know that it’s okay to experience a range of emotions, and you are in control of how deep you want to go.
What to Expect During a Conscious Connected Breathwork Session
During a CCB session, you will be guided through the process with supportive music, verbal cues, and gentle reminders to honor your body’s needs. As the breathwork intensifies, it’s normal to encounter a range of sensations – some may feel like tension leaving the body, while others may resemble waves of emotional release or even joyful surrender. In these moments, you will be held with care, in a space that is trauma-informed, compassionate, and non-judgmental.
Every session offers a unique experience, as the breath leads you to where you need to go. Whether it’s addressing deep-seated fears, past traumas, or simply reconnecting with your body, each journey through CCB opens doors to greater awareness and healing.
Integration: What Happens After a Breathwork Session?
The time after a breathwork session is crucial for integrating the experiences and insights you’ve gained. Here are a few tips to help you process and integrate the session:
- Rest and Reflect: Take some time to rest after your session, allowing your body to fully absorb the experience. Journaling can be helpful to reflect on what came up for you during the breathwork and to capture any insights or emotions you encountered.
- Be Gentle with Yourself: It’s important to treat yourself with care after a session. You may feel emotionally tender, physically tired, or deeply relaxed. Allow yourself to move slowly and be patient with any emotions that may arise.
- Stay Hydrated and Nourished: Drinking water and nourishing your body with healthy food can support the integration process. Your body may be working through the release of physical and emotional energy, so be sure to replenish.
- Share Your Experience: If you feel called, talk with a trusted friend, therapist, or practitioner about your session. Verbalizing your experience can help deepen your understanding and integration of the work.
- Ongoing Breath Practice: Consider incorporating daily breathwork into your routine as a way to continue integrating your session’s benefits. Even just five minutes of conscious breathing each day can help you stay connected to the healing process.
